Frivolous walk

I was inspired to paint this picture by the atmosphere of several photos I found in the family archives: joyful, cordial, full of peculiar charm, which I want to see as a bit frivolous. Apparently, in the interwar period, this manner of walking, holding the arm of an acquaintance, was quite typical and did not mean intimacy (in the picture called “Shopping” we find a similar gesture of the characters). Some traces of the painting tool the (swirls) on the right side of the image are meant to emphasize this singular atmosphere.
